Has anyone made you a promise and your response was the rolling of your eyes? You knew the promise was no good because you knew the person.
 
Well, when God makes you a promise you can count on it! The whole universe is held together by His word and if He broke His word this whole place would fly apart - including you.
 
Acts 1:4-5 states: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, (Jesus) ye have heard of me (Jesus). For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Take Your Medicine

"Are you able to drink the cup?" There are experiences of life that can be described as, "take your medicine" or "that is a hard pill to swallow."
Jesus told believers to remember Him. He asked His Father to let a cup pass but if it was the Father's will He would drink it. So, He teaches us how to drink the cup.
